Do you ever wonder that happens to an urban tree when it is removed?

Many trees that are removed from urban areas at their end of life, are being sent to the landfill. Not only does this end seem to diminish the value and beauty these trees have given to the urban landscape, it also means that as they decompose, the carbon sequestration they so beautifully provided is reversed.

By keeping trees out of the landfill, Urban Wood Rescue is preserving their positive carbon footprint and offering them new purpose as milled and dried lumber. We strive to educate the public on the benefits of trees after their removal, and offer sustainably sourced wood to the community, local makers, and aspiring woodworkers.
