We choose to reuse and recycle when and wherever we can – from large initiatives, like working with local farms and fishermen to provide you with the fresh top-quality products, collecting and composting our kitchen scraps to harness in our very own garden, participating in the Virginia Oyster Shell Recycling Project to help restore wild oyster populations in the Chesapeake Bay, installing solar panels to help offset our carbon footprint, using hand dryers and Chilewich Modern Placemats to cut down on the environmental cost of laundering – down to the smaller steps of using both sides of every piece of paper, working with ReCORK to repurpose our wine corks, and using pencils produced from sustainable practices. It is our belief, as a community, we can make the connections and collective decisions necessary to celebrate and prolong a local and sustainable culture.
