Marshview Community Organic Farm

Marshview Community Organic Farm's mission is to establish a culture of increased consumption of locally grown produce and increase the amount of vegetables grown in the area by youth and adults. In 2007 the Farm became the first ‘USDA Certified Organic’ farm in Beaufort County. Marshview Community Organic Farm is a conduit to improve the economic, social, health, and cultural opportunities for local youth and adults through the establishment of a CSA, Cooking School, and Mini Marketplace. The farm is located on St. Helena Island, which is the heart of the Gullah culture and one of the most intact Gullah communities remaining today. Integral to teaching farming practices are the spiritual values of our ancestors, "lovingkindness."
