Since nature materials come directly from the environment, they have the natural tendency to be biodegradable. For this reason, they can be considered one of the most sustainable materials to work with. Be sure to take things that are already fallen and not being used by another living being when searching for materials in nature.

When crafting with wood based materials such as bark and branches, make sure to bake them in the oven on a low temperature for some time to prevent insects from infesting. This is also a good way to dry out fallen leaves and dying flowers, to ensure mold doesn't grow. Make sure there are no living things using the material you want and especially check inside seashells before taking them. It is also important to properly clean and sanitize seashells to get rid of excess bacteria.
