Using up old wood shavings from projects is a good way to recycle and decorate with a decently sustainable material.

Using wood scraps that aren't from chemically treated or varnished wood is best to avoid synthetic chemical exposure.

Be careful not to breathe in wood scraps and handle them with gloves to avoid splinters if really small.
